[Well. In the midst of all the chaos of waking up in the scenario they've found themselves in... She might literally bump into him while trying to find a way out. Regardless, there's a moment of surprised silence before she's immediately glancing around to find somewhere private, gesturing for him to follow. Once they're both in the bathroom, she reaches over to lock the door.]
What the fuck is going on?
[She already knows he won't have the answer - it's not so much a question as a expression of anger at the circumstances.]
[The bathroom sure is a, uh, lovely place to have this conversation. He wrinkles his nose when he notices the lack of a shower, squinting as the light bulb flickers, and tries not to think of how gosh danged tiny the stall is. Don't mind him as he leans against the door once she's locked it.]
Kind of wondering that myself. [He's trying to play it cool, but... he still sounds tense. For obvious reasons.] I really didn't sign up for a road trip before Manhattan?
[A beat
and he pulls at his scrunchie, letting it snap against his wrist.]
Or, y'know, someone swapping out my clothes for bible camp chic.
[She's still wandering around the camp today, and when she sees Jason in the sports court, she raises a hand in greeting.]
...You know, I know your boarding pass says parkour, but I didn't really think you were the organized sports type. Anything in particular you're checking out?
[So, that sucked. They all expected it, but that doesn't make it much better, does it? Jason is one of the few people she's actively looking for after that, and she's hurrying forward when she notices him outside of the communal bathroom.]
[She isn't sure whether it's someone who came here for her or for somebody else, so she's opening the door half expecting to have to tell somebody that whoever they want isn't around - but her expression softens when she sees him.]
[Considering everything that was discussed, Jason is absolutely looking for her after the meeting. When he finds her by the lake, it's... not surprising that his mind goes back to one particular day. It feels like it happened ages ago, and yet — well. At least he's able to speak this time around.]
[HEY, NATALIE... Sometime after the execution, Jason will run into her near the edge of the forest. He glances at the forest. Glances at her. Pretends they didn't just watch someone beat a dude to death.]
Not to be that person, but... I don't know. He's definitely not on the top of my list of people who didn't deserve to get voted off even though they're innocent. He could have stopped provoking us all for ten seconds and things might have been different.
[It's early on Monday morning when she comes into the director's office to look at the new tasks. When she sees Jason already inside, she raises a hand in greeting before glancing at the board, and... freezing for a second. Ah. After a few seconds of looking between him and the date task, she says:]
Hey. [aaa] I don't suppose you want to, uh... [aaaaaaa] You know, for the vouchers. Just since we, uh, we - know each other already.
[Damn, can't believe Natalie just murdered him in cold blood. Which is to say— He nearly has a heart attack when she begins with "I don't suppose you want to", and then she explains it's for the vouches, and, oh. Okay. Okay. Time to play it cool? It's fine. Everything is fine.]
Sure. That, uh— S'okay. It makes sense. We know each other. It's way less awkward than, y'know, asking any of our newly acquainted fellow kidnapees out on a date. [He's sweaty spaghetti... Moving on!] Any thoughts on the venue?
[It's late in the evening, and she may or may not have had some jello shots by now, which is why this conversation is happening Now. If it doesn't get ruined by them being themselves once more, which is definitely possible. Anyways, she's standing near the portal, still wringing her hair out, when she sees him. Abruptly:]
[It's fine. They're all jello shotted up and fresh out of embarrassing conversations about crushes, so this is fine. Jason pauses when he sees her, before nodding.]
[Arts and Crafts cabin time! The execution and everything that followed was brutal, and Jason is just a bit more than just a little queasy after watching two people get bludgeoned, but the first words out of his mouth after spotting Natalie are:]
[By now, it's abundantly clear what's going on, but... Staying away from everyone else the entire week is nigh impossible, and she doesn't want to stay cooped up, besides. She's sitting at the edge of the pool with her bare feet dangling in the water and her jeans rolled up when she notices him come in. She looks towards the ground rather than at him, but:]
[She's still getting used to having both legs again, but now that she can walk a little bit easier... She's looking around the camp for him, and when she finds him, she's reaching to slip her hand into his. Gross.
[He shifts his hand to lace his fingers with hers. Double gross! The look on his face is conflicted.]
'Course, I'd like to say I think we did. But how often do murderous psychopaths turn around and say "changed my mind! So long and thanks for all the fish"?
w0, friday.

[She hates it, thanks.]
We didn't do anything wrong, right? We got off at the stop he told us to. He never said there was anything against the rules about leaving together.
