No, I think it's more than possible that's what happened. But I don't know that the way they played it out makes their choice that much different than someone who would have decided to play the game to win.
[ there's a sigh as he shoves his hands in his pockets ]
If they had no way of knowing for sure whether their kill would be the only one... Do you think they'll be completely confident that someone else will kill this week? Or the next, or the one after that?
I mean, nobody's going to write they have murder dibs on the whiteboard for everybody to see. I don't think this is the kind of thing they can coordinate. But given the alternative... I don't know. It just - sucks.
I just wish there was a way we could figure this out together, but I'm assuming anyone who's planning to kill someone can't say anything, unless that was just a thing for the first trial.
[ he doesn't respond to that question outside of a slight shake of his head, but: ]
I'm not so sure about that. During trial, I'm sure-- but this is technically a team game. If two people want to play along together, I don't think there would be anything stopping them from discussing that kind of thing.

[ he shakes his head ]
It doesn't matter. Word is spreading on that one, too-- so I get the feeling they won't end up being the only killer doing it for that reason.

[She's pretty sure she knows, but.]

All that aside-- I asked. The bear wasn't related. Just... opportunistic.
[ there really was just a random ass bear. ]
no subject
Good to know! Now let's never talk about the bear again.
no subject
Yeah, pretty much. So, how do you feel about the petting zoo?
no subject
Why?
no subject
Because petting animals is therapeutic if you're into that, and I think we all need some form of therapy.

[It's a toss up as to which part of that she's disagreeing with.]

Noted. Sorry. For what it's worth, I have seen one a few times?
[ i mean, once or twice, after traumatic events, and technically black canary is not licensed, but sometimes you're a child superhero ]

[but also she killed her last therapist so it's a weird subject and she doesn't like it]
