[That gets a little huff of a laugh from him. Simpler times indeed...]
Could mean a few things. Our hosts may be taking on familiar voices to unsettle us. Some other, unknown creature could be doing the same thing. There's a slim possibility that the people those voices belong to are really here, but if they were, it would have to be under the influence of something else. Chuuya wouldn't willingly take part in something like this again.
Makes me wonder if the personalities they showed us earlier were a ruse, too. You know - like they'd just picked up a few traits from people familiar to us?
[He did think that Black Shadows fellow was strangely familiar...!!]
It was my team leader, and they gave me this speech about how they chose me because... they thought I wanted good things for the people who belong to me. And I said, hey, saying that anybody belongs to anybody else is a super fucked up way to talk about friendship, and they gave me some bullshit about how that's just how they talk. Seems pretty telling to me.
Hah... They really did just put in the barest amount of effort, didn't they? [SHAKING HIS HEAD.] Well, we have a better idea of what exactly we're dealing with now, anyway. I certainly haven't seen or heard so much as a whisper from any of the three of them today, at least.
If they show up before trial or execution, I'll be interested to see what it is they have to say for themselves. Will they entirely drop the act now, or will they play a long game? There's still the very thinnest possibility that they have nothing to do with this too, but! A very thin possibility, indeed.
[It's clear he doesn't really believe that's what they're looking at here.]
The demons didn't operate on a logic we could understand, either. [He has no idea who's doing what here but he trusts no one, especially the NPCs.]
...Unfortunately, not much for us to do now but wait and see what tomorrow brings. Though I can't say I like being unable to look through a crime scene before trial.
Seriously. At least back in my last one, we got to look at the scene a little bit before the trial. What are we supposed to do when we can't look at the body or the scene of the crime?
...Goodness, sounds like you had to do a lot of the work without any guidance at all, hah. We were shepherded around a fair amount. Had a limited amount of time to look at the crime scene before Saturday, but plenty of time during trial to examine that and the body. Or bodies.
[She might complain more if she were talking to anyone but him, but she feels a little bad, since he's from the One Game she thinks was probably worse than her experience.]
It's one possibility, certainly. We've already seen they act differently one-on-one than they do in public. It's also possible that if there is another party responsible, we're dealing with some sort of possession situation again - but I'm not so sure about that, this time.
[He like, wishes it was a possession mechanic?? Which by virtue of his shitty luck means there probably isn't one.]

[...]
Still, it would have been nice if they didn't pretend at all.

[He doesn't say anything to the rest of that though, and just hums in agreement.]

[Ugh.]
That's barely a possibility at all.

[????
The rest of this is apparently just normal, though.]

[They didn't even get NPC sponsored death announcements, smh.]

...So you had a bit of time to examine both the day before and had to just rely on that through your trial?

Closes his mouth.
...Reaches out to pat her shoulder gently.]
I do hope that's not the case for us here, hah.

I guess we'll see tomorrow.

There are a lot of things we'll see tomorrow, for better or for worse.
[A little sigh, a little click of his tongue.]
If anything, I'd like to ask our killer exactly what it is that drove them this time.

[It’s still messed up.]
What’s the point? You think those three offered them something that the rest of us don’t know about yet?
