It's one possibility, certainly. We've already seen they act differently one-on-one than they do in public. It's also possible that if there is another party responsible, we're dealing with some sort of possession situation again - but I'm not so sure about that, this time.

I still have mixed feelings on the whole possession thing, but I think I'm solidly landing on the 'I hope it's not that' side. Akira mentioned that someone who's possessed would kill again if we didn't catch them, right? But someone who was motivated for whatever other reason might not.

Hah, true... That's the way it worked with us, too. If a possessed host escaped, we'd end up with another victim the next week. We didn't have to worry about that too often ourselves, but the possibility was never one to take lightly.
