[It's a few hours after the execution that she makes her way towards his cabin with her new crutches, knocking on the door after she arrives.]

[THE SOUND OF HIM TUMBLING OUT OF HIS BUNK and hobbling his way toward the door YEEHAW. When he opens it, he's smiling.]

Come in, come in! Here, come sit - mine's the top, but Yasusada won't mind us borrowing his.

[He'll usher her inside to take a seat on Yams' bed that he just volunteered, it's fine. As they go:] What is it? Is everything alright?

[She comes in as he beckons, leaving the crutches leaning against the bed as she takes a seat.]

As fine as it can be, yeah. [She at least looks better than she did yesterday, and miles more composed than she was on Friday. Either way:] I had a question for you, actually.

["Fine as it can be" is about the best anyone can ask for in this cursed fuckin house so he'll take it. That has him looking at her curiously, though.]

[He blinks, a bit surprised. All the same:]

Ah... I'd been planning on asking you next week if you'd hear mine and my team, actually. I don't mind at all - but is there any reason for doing it now?

[He's hoping??? She might have some sort of Jason-like plan in mind, in a worse case scenario.]

[She nods. It's still a little bit uncomfortable to talk about, but...]

Jason, um - we both came up with a plan. Mine lets me remove the memory of an event from someone's mind for the rest of the competition. So - our thought was that if anything ever happened, I could make them forget everything that happened after curfew, or at least after everyone else fell asleep. That way they'd have a harder time covering their tracks, and they'd have a harder time answering anything at trial if they started getting questioned.

[THAT'S A WILD ABILITY. He hums a little, nodding as she explains it, examining it in the clinical sort of way that he needs to to divorce himself from the idea of Natalie dying at all.]

Not a bad idea... Though I wonder if that would affect any of our, ah - truth-based powers out there.

[If someone forgets how they committed a crime, would it technically be lying if asked directly about details? He taps his fingers against his chin. All the same...]

--If they're made aware of your ability and what you planned on doing, they would know to be on the lookout for someone who doesn't remember how they did what they did, though. It should be fine.

[Since Jason only told her, she can't really imagine what might have happened if she was targeted this weekend, too. She wants to try to prevent that for anyone else.]

Makes sense to him, though. The idea of an entire plan falling apart because you didn't anticipate losing all of the people involved... Hm. Bad!]

[As this weekend proves, it's better to have something like that in place. She's still not convinced they would have found him if Jason didn't have a plan.]

[IT SURE DOES PROVE EXACTLY THAT... He's not sure they would have caught Nie Huaisang either, considering how good he is at getting out of sticky situations. If Jason had picked his third (outside of Natalie and the culprit) any differently, even, he wouldn't have been surprised if Nie Huaisang found a way to shift the blame.

Ah - right. It's fine, I can tell you now. [FINALLY HE ISN'T HITTING THE MAX PER WEEK.] My ability allows me to enter someone's dream and affect them in the real world the next day. I can control the content of the dream and the impact it has - the extent of its use is pretty varied. So far I've used it to calm someone down, take away the symptoms of an illness, remove the pain from an injury... But of course, it can be used offensively, too. Since my killer would be awake at the time of my death and I don't know if they'd sleep before trial, I wouldn't want to risk leaving an injury on them. My plan is to send Dick a dream that night that could point to the killer's identity.

Does it have to be one person per week?

It's the least I can do. [Because he can't actually stop any of the deaths! Terrible work everyone, he hates it.] But yes, it's limited to one use a week and only one person.
