I mean, I didn't believe the whole 'no murder will happen' thing the other three have been spouting all week, but they seemed like they believed it, at least. So maybe something changed when the new one got here.

I don't think so. Winter Wizard was still pretty adamant that no murder should happen. And, you know, not necessarily believing them, but since Mask Guy's presence didn't surprise them, that means they know what Mask Guy is and had no reason to think that their presence would mix things up.
I get the feeling that curfew was always going to happen, to be honest. I mentioned the idea before and they never suggested it wouldn't be a thing here.
