[ there's a pause, and then she quickly adds ]

Nah, I did gymnastics later on. But when I was younger I thought it was really... pretty? I guess. But we would have never offered ballet lessons.

[ anyway ]

Carnaval. I managed to get through all the sections-- kind of. I was only actually good at some of it, and the rest would embarrass you.

... he was like, the only teacher who was affordable enough that my parents were fine with it, and nearby. And he was really sweet, but after a while I didn't really want to hang around men. So I quit.

[ she shrugs ]

And then life happens, and you never get around to picking it up again.
vigilantics: (somewhere out there)

Hm... well. No, actually?

[ sometimes you just get too busy to revisit old hobbies

... I'm not sure if I'll learn much from him.

[ all of their conversations that aren't like, genuinely serious turns into disgusting flirting and steph knows this. ]
vigilantics: (begged you to stay.)

... we'd start the lesson and then get extremely distracted like, ten minutes in?
vigilantics: (oh did i say too much.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2020-06-10 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, but now you got me reeeeally excited about potential lessons?
vigilantics: (toss and turn without me.)

[ ... ]

You're really good friends?
vigilantics: (i don't know how to act.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2020-06-12 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ uh huh. ]

I am not sure whether to say it's good or not that you have someone you're friends with here.
vigilantics: (with my boyfriend today.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2020-06-12 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No one should be here.

[ pointedly ]

But we have to make do with what we have to work with now.
vigilantics: (don't know what to do.)

[personal profile] vigilantics 2020-06-12 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. It's just... at this point, even though we'd prefer if someone isn't here, we can't do anything about it.

[ so, turn a horrible situation into something that could have advantages. ]
