You can, yes. Though you can also leave it out while you drink your own share, too.
[He did it on the bus for their weird ouija board friend... But he'll start setting the cups out then, pouring a share for Percy, a share for Jason, and then one for Natalie which he hands over. He'll pour his own last, and set the jar to the side.]
Mm, nothing in particular. No set phrase or anything - at least where I come from. But you could say a few words if you wanted? Anything at all. I don't know if they'll be able to hear them yet, but maybe some of our other dead are watching and can pass it on.
[WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH THEY CAN WATCH. He tips his cup her way, though!]
To a better tomorrow.
[He says before NHS kills the executioner or something.
Anyway it's a relatively lightly fermented mead since he keeps going through jars faster than he can stick them in the grOUND. So it's more like a honey kombucha than anything with a Huge Punch, though with the alcohol content closer to a solid beer. Good work, team.]
[Carefully, she tips over both cups, one after the other, and watches the liquid seep into the floor. She does say something each time she performs the action, but it's whispered too low for him to hear. It's really just for the action of saying it rather than the chance that they'll hear.
[It's an act meant more to comfort the living than the dead, anyway; if it can bring her even a small amount of peace, then it's done its job.
He laughs a little at that, though, gently amused.]
Not bad at all, right? Fortunately I had Sanji help me get the measurements right the first time I tried making these, and they've been getting better since. You can keep the rest of this jar, if you want.
[She probably needs it more than he does, fuckin rip.]
[There's a light little hum in response to the thanks, and then:]
Try making it, you mean? Or just trying it in general? [He gives his cup a little swirl before taking a sip.] Not this exactly, but we'd make our own wine on the mountain out of berries.
[Natalie just || this far away from going on a fullass rampage YET AGAIN.]
Mmhm. I made some fruit wine earlier too, but to be honest, I liked the way this one turned out a little more. The other batches made with fruit haven't fully fermented yet, anyway.
[He just has fuckin jars of dirt booze buried all over camp.]
[SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS. Sometimes you just booze away the pain even if you aren't actually drinking it.]
A week to get started, two weeks to be decent. But you can ferment it for months and it'll still be fine for drinking, so long as you seal it all properly. The longer it sits, the stronger it gets.

...I think they'd like that. [...] I've never done this before, do you just pour it on the ground once it's in the cup?

Thanks.

Thanks.

It doesn't have to be grapes or anything?

[Learning the ways of ye olde alcohol after a stressful trial, what a trip this camp is.]

I guess it's harder to find berries here.

It might? I've never waited long enough to test that out.
